Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years

Education: Bachelor Degree (Masters Degree is preferred)

The Role

The Dubai Future Foundation is on the search for talented Senior Research Analysts to be part of the founding team at our Centre for Accelerated Research.

The Centre for Accelerated Research aims to provide useful views on how the world will change in the future.

Objectives

•       Produce a range of products from broad horizon-scanning to specialist reports.
•       Develop clear, distinctive voice, with a fresh take on the latest trends.
•       Utilizing novel research methods and communication channels.
•       Prioritizing work that best supports the knowledge ecosystem in the UAE.

Research Scope

•       Informed commentary on emerging technology, scientific, geopolitical and societal trends.
•       Strategic analysis, implications and recommendations for the UAE and beyond.

Expertise in below subjects

•         Geopolitics and International Relations including Arab nations or MENA
•         Governance of Emerging Science and Technology (including technology policy, ethics, philosophy)
•         Cultural Studies & Anthropology
•         Politics with focus on fast-changing economies or Arab nations

Skills relevant to the role:

•         Policy analysis and report writing
•         Working in an international, multi-disciplinary team
•         Developing concise summaries on topics on short deadlines
•         Creating novel proposals and developing partnerships
•         Public speaking and/or excellent writing for a general audience

As well as one or more of the following research methods:

•         Interviews and similar qualitative social science methods
•         Foresight and Futures
•         Data analysis and visualization
•         Design (graphic, narrative or service) and ethnography
•         Survey design and delivery
