Where does this role fit into the bigger picture?
The Senior Legal Associate will report directly to the Chief of Legal Affairs.
The legal department is responsible for protecting the Dubai Future Foundation and Museum of the Future from a legal perspective, and supporting business operations to ensure all frameworks, structures, contracts and agreements are aligned with applicable laws and regulations.
Senior Legal Associate
As a Senior Legal Associate in DFF, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative and disruptive projects across various industries, with exposure to senior management and stakeholders across the group. You will be part of a supportive, collaborative, fast-paced and dynamic in-house legal team where you will have plenty of opportunities to develop your legal skills and knowledge.
Your Responsibilities
• You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and technology contracts.
• You will provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on various legal and regulatory matters, including data protection, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
• You will assist the Chief Legal Officer in the management of all legal and regulatory risks across the group, including the identification and mitigation of risks associated with new business ventures and acquisitions.
• You will conduct legal research and analysis to support the development of legal strategies and the resolution of potential disputes.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal and regulatory issues and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
• You will build and maintain relationships with external counsel and other stakeholders to ensure the company has access to the best legal advice.

• As a Senior Legal Associate, you will hold a Law degree from a prestigious university and hold a license to practice law within the UAE.
• You will have a minimum of 6 years' PQE working in a renowned international law firm or private practice.
• You will be able to work in an agile environment and pivot quickly between different contracts and topics.
• You will have strong drafting and negotiation skills, with solid experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and ancillary legal documents.
• You will have knowledge about UAE laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
• You will have excellent written and spoken English and Arabic communication capabilities. You will be able to draft clear and concise with the ability to draft clearly, concisely and to a very high standard with a view to mitigating and minimizing risk, in accordance with instructions.
• You will be able to review and draft complex contracts and ancillary legal documents.
• You will have experience in information technology, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and corporate law.
• You will be able to translate legal knowledge and language to be understandable by general audiences.
• You will have solid experience working with internal and external senior stakeholders.
• You will have advanced negotiation capabilities, strong attention to detail and be highly organized.
• You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize heavy and changing workloads.
