ABOUT THE MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE
The Museum of the Future is a public initiative created by the Dubai Future Foundation. The Foundation was incorporated in 2015 by the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is run under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Museum now operates as an LLC.
The Museum of the Future is a visionary cultural institution set to become a showplace for a new era – a center of creativity and hope that combines elements of the exhibition, immersive theater, and themed attraction. Once ready, the destination will welcome visitors to come together to learn, explore, and start shaping our shared future today. The Museum will be a place like no other, a home
of tolerance, inviting varied cultural, philosophical, social, and spiritual outlooks.
The Museum of the Future will be one of the most advanced buildings globally, and the distinctive features of the design will create a timeless global landmark. The Museum is planned to open in 2021.
Senior Creative Technologist
The Senior Creative Technologist reports directly to the Director - Technology. The Senior Creative Technologist brings the skills to the Technology Department that will help the Museum build custom web-based solutions (both desktop and mobile).
As the Senior Creative Technologist, you will be responsible for supporting onsite dashboards, business intelligence tools and CMS integration. You will support the MOTF website which will facilitate a series of "labs" exposing the Museum's systems to the world through a set of web experiences.
Responsibilities
• You will work with the Creative Director to build rich solutions for MOTF's ongoing operations.
• You will work with Head of IT, Head of AV and the Director of Technology (in collaboration with the Senior Backend Engineer) to build Internal web-based tools and dashboards.
• You will implement designs and needs as provided by the Creative Director.
• You will define and implement solutions to meet the needs of the AV and IT teams.
• You will research and implement state of the art solutions for the best user experiences for different systems deployed by the MOTF Technology team.

• As the Senior Creative Technologist, you will have full-stack development experience with a focus and passion on front-end.
• You will have at least 3 years’ experience in active technology background building front-end web experiences for both mobile and desktop targets.
• You will have at least 3 years’ proficiency in JavaScript.
• You will have at least 3 years’ proficiency in HTML and CSS and you must be able to build complex, rich sites using ONLY HTML and CSS (ie without Javascript).
• You will have at least 1 years’ experience actively working with VueJS.
• You will have at least 1 year’s production experience with mobile development in IOS and/or Android (Swift and/or Kotlin preferred).
• You will have a Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• You will have excellent written and spoken English communication. Fluency In written and spoken Arabic is an additional asset.
• You will have working experience programming in any of the following:
• Python or other scripting languages
• Python-based web framework such as Flask, Django, Wagtail
• PHP-based web frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel
• Bash / Shell, Powershell
• C, C++, C#
• VueJS (or ReactJS)
• Unity experience is essential
