ABOUT THE MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE
The Museum of the Future is a public initiative created by the Dubai Future Foundation. The Foundation was incorporated in 2015 by the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is run under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Museum now operates as an LLC.
The Museum of the Future is a visionary cultural institution set to become a showplace for a new era – a center of creativity and hope that combines elements of the exhibition, immersive theater, and themed attraction. Once ready, the destination will welcome visitors to come together to learn, explore, and start shaping our shared future today. The Museum will be a place like no other, a home of tolerance, inviting varied cultural, philosophical, social, and spiritual outlooks.
The Museum of the Future will be one of the most advanced buildings globally, and the distinctive features of the design will create a timeless global landmark. The Museum is planned to open in 2021.
WHERE DOES THIS ROLE FIT INTO THE BIGGER PICTURE?
The Sales Marketing Manager is part of the Sales Department Team for the Museum of the Future and reports directly to the Director –Sales. The Sales department contributes to the Museum by promoting its interests, exhibits, and events through targeted marketing and communication activities aimed at generating ticket sales.
Sales Marketing Manager
As the Sales Marketing Manager, you will assist the Director –Sales in the planning, development and implementation of all the Museum’s B2C and B2B marketing strategies and plans, joint marketing promotions, roadshows and tradeshows. You will ensure all B2B partners carry the right MOTF branding and messaging, while also utilizing CRM driven insights and data to drive marketing efforts.
Marketing Strategy
• You will implement a comprehensive strategic direction for marketing the Museum to individuals and partners. The marketing strategy will be in alignment with the Museum’s vision and brand, and will target its various audiences which include schools, the general public, partners, and other potential visitors and stakeholders.
• You will manage and assess metrics to gauge and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of marketing, and prepare routine reports that detail these activities.
Marketing Operations
• You will collaborate with the Branding and Marketing departments to ensure consistency of design and messaging for all B2C and B2B marketing campaigns and communications.
• You will execute the marketing calendar, and oversee the effective delivery of marketing events.
• You will support and collaborate with various local, regional and international B2B partners to support marketing and communication activities, resulting in local, regional, and international media coverage of the Museum’s exhibitions, programs, events and other initiatives.
• You will develop a digital approach, utilizing your CRM experience, to manage and monitor all progress of campaigns.
• You will map different customers journeys in Marketing Cloud and A/B test, and iterate to maximize performance.
People Management
• You will work with a dynamic sales team and experts in marketing and branding across the organization, and manage the Sales Executives within your team.
This role is integral in driving sales through the implementation of the creative direction, the media reach, and the marketing campaigns of the Museum of the Future. The Sales Marketing Manager will be responsible for spreading the message of the Museum in a way that attracts visitors, and fosters interest in the Museum and its vision to potential partners, and the community at large.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
• As the Sales Marketing Manager, you will have at least 6 years’ experience with progressive responsibility in Marketing, out of which, at least 2 years must be in theme parks, hospitality, leisure or museums B2B marketing.
• You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field.
• You will have excellent written and spoken English communication. Fluency In written and spoken Arabic is an additional asset.
• You will be creative, self-motivated and a result oriented professional with outstanding communication, and cross functional and project management skills.
• You will be a CRM, Salesforce preferred, expert with a data driven approach.
• You will be energetic, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• You must be flexible to work irregular hours to support marketing events and activities.
