Job Description

Life at Dubai Future Foundation
Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Future Foundation was established back in 2016 to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dubai, and to collectively imagine, inspire and design Dubai’s future in collaboration with the government and private entities within various sectors.


Mandated in positioning Dubai as a hub for innovation and a leading city of the future, the foundation’s strategic business units are comprised of Imagining and Understanding the Future, Disseminating Future Knowledge, Capacity Building, Designing and Accelerating the Future and finally seeing and experiencing the Future.


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, once said “The future is not built on possibilities and numbers but on clarity of vision, planning, action and implementation”. With that in mind, this outlined a far-sighted approach for the foundation that placed future readiness at the very core of its operations.

 


Where does this role fit into the bigger picture?
The Recruiter within the People & Culture team will report directly to the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Performance Management within the Corporate Affairs structure.


Corporate Affairs’ main objective is to enable the Dubai Future Foundation to deliver on its ambitions and initiatives by acting as a business partner and advisor, while also providing support to the different business units in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Procurement, Finance, Offices of the Future and Technology.

 

Recruiter – People & Culture
As a Recruiter within the People & Culture team, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional candidate experience across the entire recruitment lifecycle. You will manage the day-to-day recruitment operations for the Dubai Future Foundation enabling us to identify, attract and retain candidates who meet the talent needs of the foundation.

 

People Processes
• You will work closely with People & Culture team and Strategic Business Unit to understand the talent requirements and prioritization of those requirements.
• You will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations for the recruitment team and taking candidates through the entire recruitment life cycle. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to developing job descriptions for prioritized roles, posting the jobs onto our different careers’ platforms, sourcing talent for the different roles, screening applications, arranging and conducting interviews, developing candidate offers, and supporting the onboarding of candidates.
• You will support in the development of long-term recruitment strategies and build a strong talent pipeline based on the approved organizational chart.
• You will work closely with the hiring managers to identify hiring needs, determine selection criteria and keep the hiring managers updated throughout the recruitment process.
• You will source potential candidates through classic and innovative sourcing channels, including the Careers Page, LinkedIn, networking events, and by developing strong relationships with top local and international universities.
• You will manage the internal employee referral program and ensure employees are kept up to date on the status of their referrals.
• You will ensure that each candidate receives a positive experience going through the interview process with the Dubai Future Foundation, regardless of the outcome of their candidacy.

 

Strategy & Leadership Support
• You will support the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Performance Management in developing the people strategy for the Dubai Future Foundation.
• You will also support the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Performance in ensuring all candidate records are up-to-date and provide weekly reports to share with leadership regarding the talent pipeline.
• You will also conduct research on recruiting best practices to ensure the Dubai Future Foundation’s internal recruitment processes are aligned with global best practices.


Third Party Relationships
• You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with any 3rd party suppliers including recruitment agencies, consultants, etc.

Who we’re looking for?
• As a Recruiter, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in any field.
• You will have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in recruitment at a top local or international organization. Experience working as an in-house recruiter within management consulting, tech or public sector entities is a plus.
• You will have a positive attitude, be driven and entrepreneurial, and be able to work well with ambiguity.
• You will have strong organizational capabilities, and be able to seamlessly pivot between different roles, projects, and initiatives.
• You will have excellent people skills and be able to build strong relationships across the organization.
• You will need to have a solution-oriented mindset and problem solve creative ideas to any roadblocks you may face.
• You will be innovative and future focused when developing and implementing recruiting strategies for the Dubai Future Foundation.
• You will have a positive attitude, work well within a team, and be willing to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English is required. Verbal and written communication in Arabic is a plus.
