Where does this role fit into the bigger picture?
The Project Manager reports directly to the Head of Dubai Future Academy (DFAc) and is part of the Capacity Building strategic business unit structure.
The Capacity Building strategic business unit focuses on achieving the Dubai Future Foundation’s objective to be recognized as a leader in innovation through delivering opinion forming research, evidence-based content and driving cutting-edge innovative thinking. The Academy is the capability building arm of the organization which is a knowledge hub for private, individual and government partners. The Academy sits between the outreach programs and accelerated research to offer courses, workshops, events with experts, student training and core course offerings.
Project Manager
As a Project Manager for the Capacity Building strategic business unit within the Dubai Future Foundation, you should be organised, creative and have a strong network of educational contacts. You will be responsible for managing projects (Programs and courses), developing new course content, learning resources, building on best practices to deliver world-class academy content, and working closely with international and local experts. You will also ensure the learning strategy and new opportunities are shared both internally and externally.
Academy Content Design and Delivery
• You will be responsible for preparing the annual learning calendar, as well as annual budgets, learning offerings, resources, and milestones.
• You will manage full-cycle projects from proposal, design, planning, and implementation until evaluation and handover across other Dubai Future Foundation verticals or completion.
• You will be responsible for designing and developing content for learning offerings by working closely with Subject Matter Experts and to ensure it is up to the Academy’s standards.
• You will be responsible for proactively and creatively coming up with new topics for courses and programs based on future opportunities and trends. You will be expected to present your ideas to the Head of DFAc and have considered the execution, logistics, and challenges of your ideas.
• You will proactively make recommendations and suggestions for new designs and proposals and build relationships to create opportunities to build on current solutions.
• You will initiate discussions with new and existing partners and manage and negotiate requests for bespoke learning solutions, acting as the focal point and working in partnership with the other team members at the Dubai Future Academy.
• You will manage the team resources, allocating individuals to projects based on requirements and capacity planning.
Operations and quality check
• You will manage and streamline the projects' operations, including ensuring smooth delivery of offerings and managing contracts and payments.
• You will manage the Academy’s database(s) and ensure it is up to date.
• You will evaluate the quality of the learning delivered and improve the results of courses based on the results of the evaluation and attendee feedback.
• You will work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop content to promote the Academy’s offerings.
• You will monitor and manage registration for the Academy’s offering to ensure reaching the full capacity of training courses and programs.
• You will develop and report to management on the Academy’s performance and impact.
Third-Party Relationships
• You will work closely with the other Dubai Future Academy members for delivery to ensure a seamless cross-over from design to implementation.
• You will be responsible for building new relationships and partnerships and expanding the Academy’s network, including individuals through fellowship programs, freelancers, organisations and government entities, educational institutes, etc to enhance and increase the Academy’s offerings.
• You will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the core offerings of the Academy and proactively doing business development with clients to promote the Academy’s learning courses and programs.

• You will work side-by-side with the Program Manager to manage bespoke requirements, meet with clients, and present the Dubai Future Academy’s proposals for learning platforms and courses.
• You will work in partnership with other Dubai Future Foundation departments to coordinate research, events, speakers, focus groups and support them with database of contacts as needed.
People Management
• You will responsible for supporting the Dean of the Academy in the coaching and development of the DFAc team to ensure that they are able to reach their full potential.
