Dubai Future Foundation is introducing the Sandbox Dubai initiative, a Regulatory Sandbox that centers around four key themes: Artificial Intelligence, Health Tech, Green technology, and Real Estate technology. Senior Legal Associate, Sandbox Dubai
As the Senior Legal Associate, you will navigate legal frameworks and compliance within Dubai's dynamic regulatory environment, ensuring clear understanding of laws and regulations in the context of the Sandbox experiment.
Your Responsibilities
• You will conduct comprehensive analyses of regulatory barriers and the broader regulatory landscape related to innovation in Dubai and the UAE.
• You will provide advice on compliance with local laws within the Sandbox environment and ensure all projects operate in-line with legal mandates.
• You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including but not limited to agreements, and contracts, and tailoring each to meet the unique needs of the Sandbox projects.
• You will liaise with regulatory authorities where you will manage submissions, inquiries and dialogues to ensure Sandbox activities align with regulatory expectations and standards.
• You will offer legal insights and guidance during the evaluation of Sandbox applications, assisting in the selection process by assessing legal viability and compliance risks.
• You will provide regulatory recommendations on policy changes, creation of new laws, amendments of current laws, etc. based on sandbox experiment results and learnings.
• You will coordinate legal aspects of day-to-day experiment management, including advising on intellectual property issues, data protection, and privacy laws.
• You will develop and maintain a knowledge base of new regulations and policy changes relevant to the Sandbox's thematic areas.
