Overview

The Senior Interaction Designer creates engaging, holistic, and seamless interactive solutions to drive or enhance project outcomes to deliver lasting impact. You will be responsible for the navigation, organization, interaction design, and business/user process engineering for cutting-edge web solutions, software, mobile and other interactive devices. Your responsibilities involve the application of user-centered design methods to translate user needs, business objectives, and technological capabilities into world-class user experiences for leading companies and the public sector. You will have strong communication skills for such exercises as workshops, presentations and work demos are a must, as this is a client/partner facing role.

Senior Interaction Designer

• You will design transformative interactive experiences through front-end user interfaces, narrative storytelling, digital prototyping, as well as creating production-ready assets,
• You should have a high affinity and passion for visual design excellence, ensuring visual design directions are seamlessly translated to all user touchpoints,
• You will work on a wide range of digital platforms such as mobile, web, TV, and physical/connected devices,
• You will work hand in hand with the entire project- and client team along the development process, to create a broad perspective around the challenge and required solutions,
• You will collaborate with the development teams to steward design across platforms to retain design integrity,
• You will spot opportunities to introduce new forms of digital interaction where it serves the end user and/or transforms the way government provides services,
• You will lead teams to deliver work at the intersection of design, technology, and social impact,
• You will at times, take over tasks outside the core role to advance and support a work stream where required.

• As a Senior Interaction Designer with Palmwood, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in interaction design.
• You will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design or a related field of study.
• You will be proficient in visual design and wireframing tools,
• You will have experience creating services and applications on all devices,
• You will be familiar with the technical aspects of UX across all devices,
• You will be proficiency in UX design and prototyping tools,
• You will have excellent written and spoken English and Arabic,
• You will understand regional/Dubai context to enable local solutions,
• You will understand how the government works (and what needs to be improved),
• You will be up to date with emerging trends in creativity related technology and interaction design,
• You will have basic capabilities of creative coding to create interactive pieces,
• You will understand Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality,
• You will have experience leading interdisciplinary teams,
• You will have experience managing complex projects and stakeholders,
• You will have experience juggling multiple workstreams,
