What are we looking for?
AV Support Engineer
As part of the Technology team at the Museum of the Future, you’ll play a critical role in delivering seamless audiovisual experiences throughout our spaces. From immersive exhibits to high-profile events, your work will support the museum’s mission to push the boundaries of interaction and innovation.
You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining AV solutions, supporting day-to-day AV operations, and ensuring smooth setup and teardown for events and installations. Your expertise in projection, display, and interactive technologies will help power the experiences that shape how people engage with the future.
Your role within the department
Reporting to the Head of AV, you’ll support the Technology team in ensuring optimal performance of all AV equipment and systems across the museum. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to manage installations, respond to technical issues, and contribute to enhancing AV support processes and infrastructure.
Your typical week would include the following:
- Implement AV solutions to ensure reliable performance across events and exhibitions.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot projection, display, touch, and interactive technologies.
- Provide on-site technical support for AV setup, operation, and teardown for various museum functions.
- Analyze system performance to detect and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Support wiring, build-outs, and teardown of AV setups with a strong focus on safety and precision.
- Research and recommend new AV technologies to enhance user experience and system reliability.
- Maintain thorough documentation of AV activities, configurations, and issue resolutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by refining AV support processes and suggesting workflow enhancements.
